feeltone KoTaMo: Concert Monochord Meditation with Annette Abraminko

For April 2023's Monochord Monday Meetup (our monthly free webinar on Zoom for our monochord community), Annette Abraminko offered us a heart-felt and informative presentation centered around the feeltone KoTaMo Concert Monochord (a 3-in-one instrument that includes a monochord on one side, with a Kotamo and Tanpura on the other.)

Annette is a member of our monochord community based in Chesham outside of London in the United Kingdom. Along with showing how she plays her large collection of sound healing instruments in her "Sound Sanctum" space, she shared her inspiring story of self-healing and self-care through sound while living with debilitating illness MS and a terminal prognosis, as well as discussing adaptive playing techniques for those with disabilities and inclusive awareness of the physical body.

During the Webinar, we played a video that Annette made just for us (as she was connecting to Zoom through her smart phone which makes hearing instruments like the monochord challenging due to their quiet sound.) This 15-minute guided meditation was narrated by Annette while accompanying herself on the KoTaMo - after which the group was invited (as always) to play together in their own spaces at home for 7 minutes.

You can watch the video recording of Annette's presentation (where you get to hear her story) along with over 65 other videos in our growing Monochord Monday Meetup video library when you sign up for free to join our Monochord Monday Group on Zoom.

*AND! Since Annette made this meditation video just for our group and posted it onto YouTube, you can watch/listen to the 15-minute meditation by itself (and check out Annett's other lovely videos on her YouTube) Channel by clicking below!

According to Annette, The Sound Sanctum is "a Safe Space in which to Open your Heart and Discover your Soul Journey."
