We recently visited the feeltone Headquarters in Pulow, Northern Germany and made a video for our Monochord superfans β a peek behind the scenes where our instruments are handcrafted by artisans.
The handworkers are a bit shy and only agreed to have their hands at work filmed and shared.
The video is interspersed with beautiful scenes of the landscape near and around Pulow β the small neighborhood where feeltone's workshop is located. This region is called Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in the north of Germany, very close to the Baltic Sea. The neighboring landscape varies between open fields, breezy forests, lakes, and streams.
Due to its northern location β not far from Denmark and Sweden β the quality of light is very special and the days are very long in summer. Dusk occurs as late as 10:30pm this time of year!
Not far away you'll also find the ocean, with beaches dotted by the iconic Strandkorb β German beach baskets you can sit in.
We invite you to watch this video with headphones and join us on this Spaziergang β a leisurely walk for relaxation. The video features a soundtrack of feeltone instruments supporting the meditative stroll. Take 7 minutes to sit back and let the scenes roll by.
The nature of this region inspires the instruments you hold in your hands. Every single feeltone Monochord is made with love and handcrafted with care.
