Color Coded Soundscapes: Instruments Made to Match

Our soundscape collections are organised around colour-coded tuning groups, making it easy to find instruments that play beautifully together — no musical training required.:

We have color coded the so matching paris are simple to spot at a glance: Yellow (A-minor), Red (G-Major), Green(C-Major), and Blue (D-minor).

Our monochords are tuned to a single root note — A, G, C, D, or F — and each pairs beautifully with an instrument set built around that same tonal centre.

The instrument sets are crafted in the corresponding mode or key (A-minor, G-Major, D-minor, C-Major, F-Major), so while a monochord in A is simply in A rather than in A-minor, it resonates naturally and harmoniously with everything in the A-minor group.

Do I need to own a monochord?

No you don't need to own a monochord to start: pick a single instrument, or build toward a full set. We've curated these collections so the sound qualities work beautifully together, no musical training required.

I already have instruments. How do I find an instrument that matches the set I already own?

Simply use the colour codes to find instruments that match your existing tuning. Everything within a colour group is chosen to complement each other, so adding to your set is straightforward
