TINKA TONG Wood Tongue Drum
The feeltone Tinka Tong is a compact, handheld wood tongue drum handcrafted in Germany from padouk and cherry wood. With 6 finely tuned tongues and a convenient grip hole on the bottom, it can be held in one hand and played with the other — or set down and played with two mallets. Small and lightweight, it produces a clear, melodic tone that combines rhythm and melody effortlessly.
The Tinka Tong creates short, light percussive tones that are earthy, warm, and grounding. Depending on how it’s played, it can sound whimsical and cheerful or activating and energizing — even in a minor key. It is especially wonderful at the opening or closing of sound journeys to connect, ground, and activate the physical body.
Each Tinka Tong is tuned to match one of the Intuitive Soundscapes Collections, making it easy to layer with monochords, kalimbas, and chimes in the same key.
