Thanks to a long research & development work in partnership with an engineering high school we’re happy to release the 4th generation Spacedrum, made out of a special stainless alloy. The properties of this special alloy are particularly adapted for the outdoor playing: totally rustproof, even in the extreme climates (see shores, tropics...), hard enough to keep the tuning for years (in normal conditions of use). Added to that, the Spacedrum Evolution (4th gen) develops more sustain and more sound volume while respecting the Spacedrum original sound.

This instrument is fragile and needs to be protected when it's not played. Our bags are specially designed for a good protection of the Spacedrum.

Each instrument comes with a bag that doubles as a rucksack and a pot of wax for maintenance.

Wonderful instrument - highly recommended!

I'm a film music composer based in Berlin. Some months ago I played a Spacedrum 24" Anaziska scale in a little shop and I instantly fell in love with the instrument. I had to buy it, no way around it. This sound is marvellous. It has a wonderful long resonance and presence. The touch response and the tonal flexibility are really astonishing. Even though I bought this instrument for a film music project I still play it a few times a week and became addicted. In January I had the chance to play with a Spacedrum Deep Sky. I can also recommend this scale. You get rich dark tones that stay in space for quite a long time. I played other handpans from various manufacturers. Sonically and performance-wise these both Spacedrums are my favorits.

Unique Sounds

I love playing my 9 note Anaziska. The sustained sound on this instrument is incredibly smooth and drawn out. While playing outside, it matches the ambient sounds of nature or the world around you. It is nice to be able to play this instrument in public because the sound does not project past 20 feet, creating a sonic bubble around you without disturbing people that are not in front of you (but they'll quickly walk up to you to find out what you're playing!). Every time I pull my pan out to play, it is a new experience, and I feel that the pattern possibilities are endless. Oh! And you can't hit a wrong note! My daughter loves that part :)
