Monolina XL Low C - Terra Collection (C-Major)
Special Introduction price Save 12% if you order before December 10th 2024
This C is now the lowest Monolina (lower than the D!) and has a new shape: longer length, thicker body, but thiner face with 28 strings (that's more strings than a Monolini with 21 strings and less than a standard Monolina with 34 strings).
We've enjoyed our initial test plays with it and are now lovingly referring to her as "Grandmother Earth" for her deep grounding tones, deep resonance into the body, and because she goes with our Elemental Soundscapes Earth Collection with matching instruments in C-Major.

The Low Monolina is smaller with less strings and has a longer body than the monolina.
The Monolina MO-28XL-C has the same construction as the Monolina: the body is made of a cherry frame, the back and top are made of ash. It has a larger volume as the body is longer.
The dimensions of the instrument are 84 cm x 26 cm x 13 cm and it weighs 3 kg. It consists of 28 C strings, 23 of which are overtone strings and 5 bass strings. The Monolina XL does not have a fith section. As usual, it is available with 5 single bridges and a position template in the major and minor pentatonic. If you are looking to add the fifth sound you can pair the Low Monolina C with the Monolina G
The Monolina XL speaks the design language of all other Monolinas and is therefore visually almost indistinguishable. Only the width, height and number of strings differ. We have redesigned the size of the body, as the low C strings cannot be produced in the scale length of the old body. The strings therefore had to be longer for our special Monolina sound and the body had to be adapted.
The wonderfully deep Monolina XL rounds off our Monolina tunings in the bass range. It gives the Monolina G a new meaning, as it can now be played as a fifth to this low C.
