feeltone Monolina XL Low C: The Deepest Monolina
The Monolina XL Low C (MO-28XL-C) is the lowest-tuned Monolina, deeper even than the Monolina D. We lovingly call her "Grandmother Earth" for her deep, grounding tones and the way her resonance travels into the body.
She has the same construction as every Monolina: a cherry frame with an ash top and back. The low C strings need a longer scale, so feeltone redesigned the body to be longer and deeper. That gives her more volume, while she looks almost the same as her sisters.
Part of the Green C-Major Collection
The XL Low C belongs to our Green C-Major Intuitive Soundscapes Collection and plays beautifully with any C-Major kalimba, chime or tongue drum. The XL has no fifth strings. To add a fifth, pair it with a Monolina G, which now sounds as the fifth above this low C.
