Intuitive Beats with Monochord for Conscious Soundscapes with Rachel Nelson

  Stressed? Time for a Time-Out!

Yeah, we’ve all been feeling a bit out of sorts lately. There are so many scary and heartbreaking things happening in the world right now, and it’s easy to fall into overwhelm and lose sight of caring for ourselves.

No one understands this more deeply than our dear friend Rachael Nelson, who — for the first time — bravely shared her story publicly about losing almost everything and rebuilding her world from the ground up.

And yet, she generously led our Monochord Monday Meetup group, inspiring us to create our own intuitive rhythmic beats on the monochord as a powerful practice of self-care

In this highlight video — taken from February’s live Monochord Monday Meetup — Rachel inspires us with her joyful, creative Monolina playing, demonstrating both a plucking technique and how she incorporates monochord mallets into her practice.

Rachel then guides us through a beautiful meditation to help us connect with what feels most alive and meaningful in the present moment, inviting us to express this through our monochords as a practice of self-awareness and self-care.

She gently encourages us to turn inward and tenderly ask ourselves:

"What matters most to me in this season of my life?"

You can now watch the highlight video of Rachel's session by checking out this latest blog post. Watch and shift your perspective with her touching story of resilience in the face of loss:

Got mallets?!

Did you know we sell specialty mallets for the feeltone Monochords? Yes, your instrument comes with chopsticks, but different mallets create different percussive sounds on your instrument - and to play rythms for sound baths and sound mediation you need mallets that are soft!

Check out our felt head and satori mallets for monochords here:
