feeltone Octave Monochord in D tuning | Sound Healing
The feeltone Octave Monochord MO-60MO is one of the most immersive and versatile concert monochords in the feeltone lineup. With 60 strings strung on both sides — 30 wound bass strings and 30 plain overtone strings, all tuned to D — it creates a breathtaking, endless sound carpet of shimmering harmonics and deep resonance. Handcrafted in Germany from cherry and ash wood, it is designed for sound healers, meditation facilitators, and ensemble players seeking a powerful sonic foundation.
Two ways to play:
- Vertically — mounted upright on its wooden plate, the MO-60MO can be played standing, seated cross-legged, or on a meditation cushion. In this position it establishes a connection between earth and cosmos like a tree. The overtone strings are stroked on one side, then the bass strings on the other, creating a swaying body movement that supports physical balance and a sense of infinity.
- Horizontally — using the included U-stands, the instrument lies flat for traditional playing. Leg extensions can be attached to the U-stands for comfortable seated play on a chair.
Tuned to D (easily tuned down to C#, or adjusted from 440 Hz to 432 Hz). A wonderfully spherical instrument for playing circles, ensembles, sound baths, and sound meditations — especially beautiful alongside Monolina monochords.
