The Feeltone Monolina is a handcrafted 34-string monochord made in Germany from ash and cherry wood. Designed for anyone — from first-time players to professional sound therapists — it produces rich, resonant overtones the moment you strum it.
Available in 5 tunings: C, A, G, F, and D. Each is built around a root note, an octave, and a fifth, giving every model its own deeply resonant harmonic signature. Five melody accent strings on Koto bridges can be tuned to a major or minor pentatonic scale, adding a melodic layer to your sound practice.
Each tuning has its own character and belongs to one of our four color-coded Intuitive Soundscapes Collections. Every instrument within a collection shares the same tonal center, so they naturally play well together. Need more help? See our Complete Monochord Buying Guide.
| Tuning | Character | Strings | Color Collection |
| C | Highest, ethereal, thin steel strings | C4–C3, fifth: G3 | Green C-Major |
| A | 2nd highest, easeful for singing and chant | A3–A2, fifth: E3 | Yellow A-minor |
| G | Mid-range, thicker strings — more physical sensation | G3–G2, fifth: D3 | Red G-Major |
| F | Mid-range, slightly more physical sensation | F3–F2, fifth: C3 | Green C-Major (adjusted bridge notes) |
| D | Deepest, strongest vibration, most grounding | D3–D2, fifth: A2 | Blue D-minor |
Even though the F Monolina is rooted in F, its fifth string is tuned to C — sharing a tonal center with the C-Major Intuitive Soundscapes Collection. In practice, your F Monolina will play beautifully alongside any Green C-Major instrument, from kalimbas to chimes. Bridge notes can also be adjusted — contact us for details.
Our color-coded collections make it easy to combine instruments that are guaranteed to harmonize. Every Monolina is the natural centerpiece of its collection — add a matching kalimba, chime, or tongue drum and your instruments will always sound right together.
The Monolina’s boat-shaped underside allows practitioners to rest it directly on a client’s body during sound massage sessions — so the receiver feels the vibrations through the wood as well as hears them.

“As a music therapist, I know about the incredible therapeutic value of sound and vibration. I use the monochord to begin and end yoga classes, massage therapy sessions, and guided meditations. Because we synchronize with our sonic environment — a principle called ‘entrainment’ — the monochord is a powerful tool that induces a parasympathetic response, reducing heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, pulse and brainwave activity. It facilitates a shift from the busy thinking and doing states to a calm feeling and being state, thereby promoting relaxation and preparing clients to enter and receive deep healing, and meditative states.”
